What Fuses Must Be Pulled on a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox When Flat Towing?
Question:
Do I need to take out any fuses to tow?
asked by: Ryan D
Expert Reply:
To flat tow your 2015 Chevrolet Equinox the fuse you pull will depend on the engine you have. For the 3.6L V6 you will need to pull fuse number 32 in the instrument panel fuse box. You can also use the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass # RM76511 so that you only need to flip a switch.
For the 2.4L 4 cylinder engine you will leave the number 32 fuse in and instead pull a fuse from the under hood fuse box. You will need to pull the ABS module fuse which due to manufacturing variances may be fuse 15 or 16 so be sure to check your fuse chart for the correct one. If you prefer to have a switch for this fuse you will need the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch # RM-76517. A Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 will also be required if you have this fuse pulled or switched off.
The GM Technical Service Bulletin 17-NA-348 has additional information if you need more.
