Will the Reese Towpower 44645 Trailer Hitch Fit a 2006 Ford Escape
Question:
Will the Reese Towpower 44645 fit a 2006 Ford Escape?

Expert Reply:
The Reese Towpower 44645 Trailer Hitch is designed to fit a Ford F-150. This hitch will not fit your 2006 Ford Escape. For a hitch that is confirmed to fit your Escape, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13650. This is a custom fit Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It features a gloss black powder coat finish and a limited lifetime warranty.
If you plan on doing some towing, you will also need wiring to power your trailer's signal lights. If you do not have the factory tow package, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118426. If you have the factory tow package you can use the # 40455 instead. The # 40455 installation may require a relay to activate the tow package wiring circuit. If you do not have the relay you will need to contact your local Ford dealer to get it.
For a ball mount, check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference.
