Trunk Mounted Bike Rack for 2010 Ford Edge

Hello, Just wondering if this bike rack will be safe to use on my 2010 ford edge. It does have a spoiler at the top of the back hatch.

On many vehicles, having the spoiler on the hatch will prevent a bike rack from being used, but such is not the case with your vehicle. According to Thule, the Passage three bike model, part # TH911XT will work just fine on your 2010 Ford Edge. The spoiler on your hatch lid is strong enough to support the weight of the rack plus the bikes placed on it.

To carry womens bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # TH982XT is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike has greater ground clearance and is not carried at an angle.
