The Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 65022 is a confirmed fit for your 2004 F-250 Super Duty 4WD Diesel. The Curt item # C31014 does not fit your truck. It is for a 99-03 Ford F-250 and F-350. I have linked an installation video of the Draw-Tite receiver. Neither the Curt or Draw-Tite receiver require modification of the air dam.
