Boat Trailer Winch Capable Of Pulling A Boat Weighing 4,500 Pounds

Question:

I have a 21 foot Bayliner weighing 3,500 pounds. The fuel capacity is 55 gal. It is on a double axle roller trailer. I do launch from a few fairly steep inclined launches. Im estimating that I have to pay out about 25 foot to free the boat when launching. Id like to purchase an electric boat winch probably in the 4,500 lb range, with a higher gear ratio. A remote would be nice, but not a deal breaker.

I recommend using the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch # DL25215. This winch has a load capacity of 3,000lbs and can pull a boat weighing up to 9,000lbs and will work for your application.

This winch does not come with a remote, however, it does have a high gear ratio at 570:1, with a line length of 20 feet long at two inches wide.
