The Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Cooler # D13611 would be an excellent choice for use on your 2011 Nissan Maxima. Transmission coolers are not vehicle specific, but there are coolers that are recommended based on available mounting locations of your vehicle.

It is always recommended to use the most efficient mounting location that is possible. Typically this is located between the AC condenser core and the grille. If the ideal and most efficient mounting location is not possible, then it is typically recommended that a larger transmission cooler be selected.

To install this Derale #13611, I would recommend measuring and making sure that you can mount the transmission cooler between the grille and the AC condenser. So you would want the existing transmission cooler to initially cool the fluid, then route the transmission fluid to the Derale transmission cooler. To do this you would route the return (cool) line from the existing transmission cooler to the input on the Derale. Then route the Derale output (cooled again) line to the transmission. The appropriate hoses, adapters, and mounting devices are included with the Derale plate and fin cooler.

Typically a heat sink cooler is not used in conjunction with an aftermarket transmission cooler since is also a type of fluid cooler. Please make sure that the heat sink cooler is definitely used for transmission cooling purposes, and not used to cool another fluid. You can do this by tracing the lines in and out of the transmission.

I have linked a couple of helpful articles about transmission coolers, and a video for your reference.
