I am happy to help with installation, however there is not a plug-in wiring adapter available for your 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, so you will need to hardwire the controller to the vehicle. It sounds like you already have the brake controller, so you will just want to add the Wiring Kit # 5506.
The white wire from the trailer brake controller will connect the negative terminal on your Jeep's battery. The black wire from the controller will then connect to the positive terminal via a 30 amp circuit breaker, which is included in the above mentioned Wiring Kit. The blue wire will go to the back of the 7-Way connector at the rear of your Jeep, specifically the brake controller output circuit which is located in the 7 o'clock position.
The red wire on the controller will go to the cold side of the brake light switch on the Jeep, which is located somewhere above the brake pedal. You can use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to find the correct wire, which will only receive power when the brake pedal is pressed and no power with any other function. Based on my research, this wire is likely white/brown in color, so you can begin by testing that one.
That's it! After all wires have been connected, you will have a functional brake controller and are ready to start towing your trailer and controlling its brakes.
