What Replacement Grease Seal Do I Need for My 3500 Pound Lippert Axle?
Question:
I am replacing the brakes on a 2017 Jayco travel trailer. Can you please tell me what replacement grease seal I need? They are 3500 lb lippert axles.

A 3500 lb axle will typically use a 10-19 grease seal with an outer diameter of 2.565 and an inner diameter of 1.719 inches.
This is pretty easy to confirm. If your inner bearing is an L68149 model, the seal outer diameter would indeed be 2.565. If the surface of the spindle where the seal rides is 1.719 in diameter, then you've confirmed that you need a 10-19 seal which we sell in pairs as the Grease Seal - Double Lip - ID 1.719" / OD 2.565" - for 3,500-lb Axles # RG06-050. I'd recommend using a digital caliper like # PTW80157 to measure the seal journal surface on the spindle so you'll get an accurate measurement.
If you need help to repack the bearings with the grease seal, I went ahead and attached a walk-through video that shows this.
