For a great class III hitch that is compatible with a spare tire (up to 18 inches) on your 2022 Honda Pilot is the etrailer Hitch # e98840. The etrailer hitch comes with a 900 pound maximum tongue weight capacity and a 6,000 pound maximum towing weight capacity. As with all hitches, I recommend confirming with your owner's manual to make sure your vehicle can accommodate that much weight.

Apart from the weight capacity, the hitch is made in the U.S.A. Also, if you have a liftgate sensor on your Pilot, you will be able to still use your sensor with the hitch installed. Although, you may have to swing your foot a bit wider to activate it.

I went ahead and linked an installation video that walks you through the installation process. Unfortunately, if you have a spare tire over 18 inches, we currently do not have a hitch that will attach to your vehicle and accommodate that tire at the same time.
