How To Choose Correct Replacement Spare 15" Wheel and Tire 205/75-15 Tire for Trailer
Question:
Hello, I have a 1960s trailer that Im looking to purchase a spare tire for. I have two working tires, so I need to buy a spare that matches my current tires. Attached are photos of my current tires. I have a 15inch rim and I believe my bolt pattern is 5 x 4.5inch although I am not 100 sure. What other factors do I need to consider in addition to rim size, bolt pattern, and load rating? In order to choose the correct replacement spare wheel and tire for a trailer you need to first know the tire size and load rating. Then you will need to know the bolt pattern which can be done my measuring (see article below). Once you have this info you can pick out the correct spare wheel and tire. If you want a wheel that matches the style you have now then I recommend the Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel part # AM20504 which you can paint. Then you can pick out the correct tire which is the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire part # TR20515D.
