To install the base rails onto the bed of your 2019 Ram 2500, you will need 1/8", 9/16" and 7/8" drill bits, per the instructions of the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWRVK2602.
The drilling is only needed to secure the base rails to the bed; there isn't going to be any drilling into the frame of your Ram when installing the brackets. These base rails are a super option to mount an accompanying B&W hitch, the Patriot, and you can go with either a fixed hitch if you have a long bed (8 feet) or sliding hitch if you have a short/standard bed (under 8 feet):
- Long Bed: B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3255
- Short/Standard Bed: B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3270
The other thing you may need if you don't have one for your '19 Ram 2500 is a 5th wheel wiring harness, the 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # 50-97-410.
