A safe and economic way to transport bikes on your 2021 Tesla Model 3 is by using a trunk-mounted bike rack. To achieve this purpose, I recommend the Yakima FullBack # Y02634 (2-bike version) and # Y02633 (3-bike version). As far as weight capacity, the FullBack will accommodate 35 pounds per bike (or a total of 90 pounds if carrying 3 bikes on the FullBack 3). Also, the rack comes with an integrated cable lock that protects your bikes on the rack. You can increase the security of the system by purchasing the Thule Passive Security Strap for Trunk Mounted Bike Carriers # TH533.
If you have bikes with step-thru frames, women's-style frames, or children's bikes, I recommend the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005. The bike frame adapter bar will give your bikes the straight, horizontal plane that is required to mount on the Fullback.
