Comparing Firestone Red Label Air Springs and Firestone Ride Rite Air Springs for 2021 Ford F-350

Question:

Hello, I am looking at two options for my 2021 F-350, your Firestone ride rite red label part number F36ZR and the ride rite helper springs F89ZR. Outside of the rated weight capacity, what's the difference as they look the same from the pics you have posted. I am hauling a large 5th wheel.

The Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs, # F95FV are constructed in a similar way to the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted, # F35FV. But there is differences, primarily that the Red Label Extreme Duty, # F36ZR has a 7,500-lb. capacity with adjustable psi from 5 to 150. While the Ride-Rite, Double Convoluted, # F89ZR is rated for 5,000-lb. and adjustable from 5 to 100 psi.

Each option is designed for the purpose of maintaining an even load distribution by using air pressure to level off the load and improve steering control and braking when hauling and/or towing. Please note that neither option will increase your truck's weight-carrying capacity but is designed to work with your suspension to help overcome heavy loads.

My recommendation, because you are hauling a large 5th wheel, is to with the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs, # F95FV .

Whichever option you choose though, I recommend the Firestone Air Command II, # F2219 to make it much easier to control the air pressure in your springs and also from just the comfort of your cab. You can mount it with Air Compressor Mounting Kit # F2497 and I strongly recommend Air Hose Cutter # AL10530 to ensure the air lines have the most precise cut and won't leak air after install.
