2011 Nissan Frontier Hitch Comparisons
Question:
What are the differences between draw-tight 75282 curt 13241 besides the names?
asked by: Dennis H
Helpful Expert Reply:
For your 2011 Nissan Frontier the Draw-Tite # 75282 and the Curt # 13241 are both considered a compatible fit.
All the hitches that you have listed are Class III hitches are are of a high quality and have the same ratings for gross towing weight and tongue weight. All have identical installation procedures, and there is no drilling required for installation on any of these hitches.
When installed all of the hitch receivers will be approximately flush with the rear bumper of your truck. However, the cross beam main support of the Curt Hitch is slightly different. It is a more perpendicular design between the mounting brackets and the cross beam. The Draw-Tite, and Reese hitch has a more angled design that allows slightly more clearance space between the crossbar and the spare tire.
The Curt hitch is also different in that the safety cable attachment points are welded directly to the receiver tube. The Draw-Tite has the safety cable attachment points mounted on a bracket that is welded to the crossbar as well as the receiver tube.
The other slight difference is that the Draw-Tite hitch has a small tab welded to the crossbar that allows for mounting your trailer wiring bracket.
All that being said the hitches offereed are very comparable in price. So if one of these small differences I mentioned above is crucial to you please choose the hitch that best suits your preferences.
