Comparing Curt and etrailer Trailer Hitch Receivers For 2022 Ford Escape

I am looking for a trailer hitch receiver for my 2022 Ford Escape non-hybrid. Which options do I have?

For your 2022 Ford Escape non-hybrid there are two trailer hitch receiver options, the Curt # C23FR, and the etrailer # e89YR.
Both of these hitches share the same hidden crosstube design so that when the hitch is installed the only visible portion is the receiver itself.
These hitches are extremely similar with 525lb tongue weight and 3,500lb trailer weight ratings. The main difference between the two hitches is their finish. The etrailer hitch # e89YR has a modern black matte finish and the Curt # C23FR has a traditional glossy black finish. This choice will be based on which appearance you prefer.
If you will be towing a trailer with your Escape you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # TE54FR, along with a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can all be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
