How To Find Correct Replacement Brakes for Homesteader Motorcycle Trailer
Question:
I have a Homesteader 712ET motorcycle trailer. Need a right hand replacement brake. 1.How do I determine what is the correct replacement? 2. Should I replace all 4 so they are equal?

In order to find the correct replacement brakes for a trailer you need to know the axle capacity. This is usually printed on the axle tag in the center of the beam but you can also measure the axle tube if round or reach out to the trailer manufacturer if applicable. The most common axle capacity is 3,500 lbs and in which case you'd use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-35-SA. I recommend replacement in pairs at the very least.
