Determining Which HydraStar Disc Brake Kit Fits 2017 Grand Design Momentum W/ Triple Axles

Question:

Trying to see what version would fit my trailer, the HSE7K-TRI and HSE7K-TR1SO? I only ask because i do not know what bearings and seals my trailer uses. So Im not sure if i can get away with doing the cheaper kit or do i buy the more expensive kit that said it comes with hubs, but then i read father down saying it doesnt, that it only comes with bearings and seals. Can you point me in right direction to find out such info please?

I would be happy to help you determine which disc brake kits fits your 2017 Grand Design Momentum M399TH Toy Hauler but you will need to first confirm your bearing combination.

The easiest way to do this is by removing one of your current hub assemblies and checking the face of both the inner and outer bearings for a stamped bearing number as shown in the included picture of the # L44649.

If your bearings are worn to the point that you cannot read the bearing numbers then you will need to use digital calipers # PTW80157 to precisely measure your spindles in the locations shown in the included diagram.

Both the HydraStar Disc Brake Kit # HSE7K-TR1 and # HSE7K-TR1SO are designed for 7000lb axles, the only difference is the # HSE7K-TR1 has rotors with built in hubs where with the # HSE7K-TR1SO you will need to purchase six of the idler hubs such as the # 8-231-9UC1-EZ separately.

If you can send me your bearing combination I would be happy to confirm the correct components for your specific trailer.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
