Recommended Replacement Spindle Or Axle For Older Spindle That Uses Short Hubs W/ L44643 Bearings
Question:
The spindles on the trailer are 1”, requiring 44643 inter and outer bearings, but I have a short spindle, and need a 3-1/2” hub. Is there a hub that will work. The other side is 4 on 4 lugs.

I have a few different options for you, but the older short hubs that your trailers spindles use are not made any longer so I do not have a hub only option for you.
Instead you will either need to replace the spindle with a newer one such as the # TRU97FR which works with idler hubs # AKIHUB-440-2-G-EZ-1K which have the 4 on 4" bolt pattern you are needing, or replace the entire axle.
If you choose to go with a replacement axle you will need to measure your current axle from hub face to hub face and spring center to spring center to find the correct replacement. For example the Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs # e62YR has a 72" hub face measurement and 58" spring center measurement as shown in the included diagram.
If this matches the dimensions of your axle then this would be a great replacement option for you, and if you find you have a different length axle just let me know.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
