Taskmaster 5.30R-12 Spare Tire With a Galvanized Steel Wheel 5 On 4-1/2" Lug Pattern

Question:

Currently I have 2 new from etrailer 5.30/12 radial tires load cap. c. the rims are 5 on 4 1/12 and have a pilot hole of 2.84. I need a spare tire and wheel but cant find a galvanized rim with a pilot hole of 2.84 in my size. The only rims that have that pilot size are 4 lug wheels. Id like to have all radials but the only tire/rim combo in stock is AM30861 but it is a bias ply, D load capacity and the pilot diameter is 3.19. Is that pilot diameter going to be ok since the bolt pattern is the same? Also, mixing a load c with load d, will that be ok? Ideally Id like a galvanized wheel with the 5.30/12 radial tire like I already have but I dont think thats an option with the way the packages are on the site. I have Taskmaster radials.

Your trailer hubs are most likely lug centric and not hub centric. If you have tapered lug nuts that hold on your wheels then you have a lug centric hub and the pilot hole diameter will be okay being larger.

Mixing your load range should not be an issue since you are going larger. The higher load rating will have a stiffer construction that will cause the tire to bounce more than absorb on bumps. As this is for a spare tire you will not be using it for long periods of time.

You can have the Taskmaster 5.30R12 Radial Trailer Tire # TT53012C mounted to a Galvanized Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM20134 at your local tire shop, as the Kenda 5.30-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" Galvanized Wheel # AM30861 is currently our only 5.30-12 tire combination with the galvanized steel wheel mounted from the manufacturer. This will allow you to have the same spare tire as your main tires incase you will need to use it for an extended period of time.
