Recommended Kayak Carrier for Factory Roof Rack on 2012 Subaru Outback Wagon

I plan to carry two 12 foot kayaks, 50 pounds each, on a 2012 Outback with swinging factory crossbars. Will this fit or do I need a different bar attachment?

According to Thule, their Hull-A-Port # TH834 is a fit for the factory crossbars on your 2012 Outback. To carry two kayaks, you would need two of the carriers. The Hull-A-Port has a 75 lb capacity, you will need to ensure that the weight capacity of your vehicle roof and its rack will not be exceeded by the weight of your kayaks. You should be able to find the roof rack capacity in the owners manual or perhaps on a sticker placed on the rack itself.
The Hull-A-Ports include bow and stern tie-downs with hooks, but I would recommend the Malone Hood Loops, part # MPG308. Simply close the loops in the rear hatch and under the hood to provide a quick and easy connection point for the bow and stern tie downs.
