Correct Grease Seal To Fit Dixon 17405 Hub

Bought a bearing kit bearings matched fine but the grease seal 1.719 won’t fit in the Dixon 17405 hub

It sounds like you may need the Double Lip Seal for 3,700-lb Marine Hubs # 168255TB, as the grease seal included in the Bearing Kit # BK2-100 will not fit your hub.
To confirm this you will want to measure your current spindle with a Digital Caliper # PTW80157 and measure the landing on the spindle for the grease seal and the outer diameter where the grease seal will fit on the hub. This seal is slightly smaller in both inner and outer diameters.
Outer Diameter - 2.561"
Inner Diameter - 1.687"
If you have something different please let me know as I could find no specifications For your Dixon 17405 hub.
