How to Test Lift Motor on MaxxAir MaxxFan

Question:

How can I be sure it’s the motor and not the touch pad?

Expert Reply:

In order to test the motor on a MaxxAir MaxxFan similar to the Mini Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 4 Speed - White # MA00-04301M you'll need to supply power directly to the motor itself; if the motor works when it receives power directly from the battery then the issue would be your touch pad or control board.

For reference, the # MA10-20270 is designed to replace the lift motor on MaxxFan models 00-4501K, MA00-04500K, MA00-07000K, or MA00-07500K. If you can provide the model number of your fan I can help you locate any available replacement parts.
