Recommended Short Arm Weight Distribution Hitch for Trailer with 1400-lbs of Tongue Weight
Question:
A couple of years ago I ordered a Kurt Weight distribution set up from your company and it worked great. I’ve since sold the trailer I was using 4’ tongue and have a new trailer with a 2’ tongue. Do you carry short spring style bars for my hitch? I can only find the trunnion style in a short size. I’m hoping to not have to replace bars and hitch to the trunnion style. Thank you,

I have a solution for you, but the Curt MV # C17057 that you've currently got won't accept the new components you're wanting to turn your system into a short arm weight distribution hitch. For this reason, you'll need to get a completely new weight distribution hitch.
The shortest weight distribution system we have is the Curt Short-Arm Weight Distribution System with Sway Control - Trunnion Bar - 15K GTW, 1.5K TW # C17422, which has 28" long arms and is similarly rated to your # C17057. You will need to disconnect the trunnion bars in order to back up the trailer, but this would be the best available option.
I've linked a short review video of this hitch for you to check out as well.
