Expert Reply:

If you are looking for an option to mount a kayak to the outside wall of a 4x6 enclosed carry-on trailer, I recommend the SeaSucker Monkey Bars # 298-SX6000B. The Monkey Bars have state-of-the-art vacuum cups that apply a tremendous amount of pressure to the attachment surface of your trailer. I confirmed with SeaSucker that they have tested and approved the application to the side of trailers.

As far as attaching the kayak to the Monkey Bars, the kayak will be most secure if attached flat. If you need attachment straps for secure fastening, I recommend the Cam Buckle Tie-Down Straps for SeaSucker Monkey Bars # 298-SA0010. Also, if you want to eliminate the potential for loud knocking against the Monkey bars, I recommend the SUP and Surfboard Pads for SeaSucker Monkey Bars # 298-SA1022.
