What is the Highest Capacity Hitch Available for a 2007 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
Hello, I need to order a hitch receiver like this one for a 2007 Subaru Outback wagon with the dual exhaust, but I need a minimum of 5,000 GTW. Which hitch receiver would you recommend? Thank you!

The highest capacity hitch available for a 2007 Subaru Outback is the Draw-Tite # 75560 you were looking at, which is 4000-lbs. From what I was able to locate with my research, the towing capacity of the 2007 Subaru Outback is only 3500-lbs and when it comes to towing you're always going to be limited to the lowest rated component in your towing setup. In this case, it's the vehicle.
With that said, the Draw-Tite # 75560 would be perfect for towing a trailer with a GVWR under 3500-lbs since it's got a 2 inch receiver. If you also need a trailer wiring harness I recommend using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118461 because of the reliability of Tekonsha's powered converters. This will give you a 4 way connector that will power your trailer's lights.
If you also need a ball mount and hitch ball, a ball mount kit like the # EBMK4 is one of our most popular choices and comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" hitch ball, a ball mount that can be used in 4" drop or 2-3/4" rise orientation, a hitch pin and storage bag.
I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to check out, as well.
