CE Smith Bunk Board Guide-Ons Spacing Required From The Boat On The Trailer

Question:

How close to the side of the boat should the bunks be when the boat is on the trailer?

Helpful Expert Reply:

You want to have the CE Smith Bunk-Style Guide-Ons # CE27660 1-2" away from the sides of your boat so that you can load the boat easily on your trailer.

If you have them tight against your boat it will cause you to get hung up trying to load your boat as it will rub against the bunks and can even act as a wedge if the boat is drifting sideways. I have linked an installation video below that will help you see where these should be mounted.
