Recommended Hitch for Pulling Water Trailer With 2019 Honda CR-V

Haul water 250 gallons 2085 lbs.....what is the best hitch for hauling water up and down mountain ridges....

For a task such as you describe, you'll want the highest capacity hitch available for your vehicle which would be the Draw-Tite Class III hitch, part # 76128 which has a 4500 lb towing/675 lb tongue weight capacity.
This being said, be aware that according to the owner's manual, the 2019 Honda CR-V has a maximum towing capacity of 1500 lbs. Though the hitch might have a higher capacity than that, the actual towing capacity of the system will be limited to the capacity of the lowest rated component which is the vehicle in this case. We'd love to sell you a hitch and the towing equipment you need but we'd also hate to see you damage your vehicle.
To tow with your vehicle, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # 118741 a ball mount like # 2753 and a trailer ball like # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
