Replacement Hub Bearing Kit for Tru Ryde 3.5K Brake Drum

Question:

My brake drums are stamped with the following info Tru Ryde 160213 RVD-H-545 SZ5 I just had the bearings go out and need to know the size and part kit to order from you. It’s a dual axel enclosed trailer and the front axel driver side went out. Also I’ve removed that tire and am on a job site. With the tire removed the bottom of the ubolts threaded side are about an inch and a half off of the road. Is this the best way to get the trailer home to the shop or should I remove the tire from the other side of the axel as well??

From what I found online, you have a standard 3500 lb capacity axle which uses a spindle compatible with a L68149 inner and a L44649 outer wheel bearing. If they're not marked as such on the side of the bearing cages, you can confirm this by using a digital caliper like # PTW80157 and measuring the inner diameter of your bearings. The inner bearing should have an inside diameter of 1.378 inches, the outer bearing would have an ID of 1.063 inches.

If this checks out, the correct replacement bearing kit would be part # BK2-100.

As long as the trailer is unloaded, I'd remove the opposing tire on that axle and limp it home or to the shop slowly and carefully. Being minus 2 tires will reduce the trailer's capacity by half, so proceed with caution.
