Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack, # C18085 With Carbon Fiber Or Custom Paint Bike
Question:
Why do you say this rack may not be good for custom painted bakes? Is this just because it uses the frame to attach the bike? Will wheel-mounting racks work with fenders?

The Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack, # C18085, and other similar style racks that clamp to the bike we prefer to provide a cautionary warning to when it comes to carbon frame or custom painted bikes. There are many folks that use these racks regularly with carbon fiber framed bikes without issue, there are others that state it is not best. We prefer to error on side of caution. Yes, this will work for a bike with fenders.
I prefer the Transfer V2 # KU84FR for carbon fiber bike frames, it holds bikes by the wheels eliminating any possible damage to the frame and bike lock is included.
