Sizing Requirements and How to Install a Brake Actuator on a Wider Channel

I need it to replace an Atwood actuator and it needs to slide in to the 3 1/2” gap in my trailer. I ordered the DemCo actuator and it is 1/4” too wide to fit.

The Demco actuators and the Titan brake actuator item # T43397007K you were looking at are all industry standard to fit over a channel tongue that is up to 3" wide. I have attached a pic of the Titan actuator installed inside the channel and welded onto the sides. If this install method does not work for your trailer than I recommend having a professional welder modify your trailers channel so you can install the proper hitch actuator.
