Installation Instructions For A Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar With U-Bolts

Question:

I ordered and received the RM-1109-175-00 sway bar kit for my 1998 Chevy Express 3500 cutaway Roadtrek 200 Popular conversion. Printed instructions included refer only to version without u-bolt brackets. Included was RM-590061-00 mounting kit. No printed instruction were included for this kit. The online video says torque spec for the u-bolts are included in the instructions. Looked on your site but, was not able to find this information. What is the correct torque specification for the u-bolts? What is the correct torque specification for bottom of end-links?

Expert Reply:

The torque specifications for the end links on your Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar and Axle Bracket Kit # RM-1109-175-00 would refer to the factory torque specifications from Chevy if replacing a factory sway bar. If not you'll want to following the attached warning to ensure the you aren't overtightening the nuts and pinching the bushings. I've attached a video that shows you installation of the u-bolts and the sway bar.
