Recommended 2 Inch Hitch for 2016 Toyota Prius

00 right now right now I am trying to put a trailer hitch on a 2016 Prius I need a two by two hitch and the one on the quarter I will not work I need to play too I believe it is if itll fit the 2016 Prius thank you

2" hitches are typically made for larger vehicles with a higher towing capacity than your 2016 Toyota Prius. The # C12490 Curt hitch from your question is not a confirmed fit for your Prius. The only hitch options we have for the 2016 Prius are 1-1/4" hitches like the # 24966 Draw-Tite Sportframe Hitch.

This hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight of 2,000 lbs and tongue weight of 200 lbs. I would not recommend the use of a 2" adapter with a hitch like the # 24966 since it will reduce the hitch's already low weight capacity by 50 percent.

A Class I hitch like the # 24966 is limited to 2 bikes. If you need a bike rack that fits a 1-1/4" hitch I recommend the # S64650 Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes. This lightweight 2-bike rack is perfect for the occasional rider with limited storage space in their garage. The wheel trays fold up, so it will easily fit into a closet.
