Brake Controller Connector Location in 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
So I bought a aftermarket brake control for my truck so I can pull my camper and I was told that there is a plug under the dash I just do not know the location and would love to find it so I can hook it up if possible can you tell me where to look and where it is located thank you

In your 2017 Silverado 1500, the brake controller connector is located in the junction box under the dash on the firewall behind the e-brake pedal.
Locate the black junction box and remove the cover. The brake controller connector is located on the left of the panel, 2nd slot from the top as shown beginning at the 4:20 minute mark in the linked video.
If you're using a Tekonsha brake controller like their excellent P3, part # 90195 you'll need the # 3016 brake controller wiring harness. The white connector plugs into the vehicle, the black connector plugs into the rear of the Tekonsha brake controller.
This is an extremely simple install that will take just a few minutes.
