Recommended Axle Compatible With Electric Trailer Brakes To Replace Axle With Obsolete Bearing Combo
Question:
I am trying to install electric brakes on a trailer but I cant find a hub to fit the spindle. the bearing numbers on the hub I took off are AH25555F and LM48548. do you know of any brake hubs with bearings the same dimensions as these bearings

I have a replacement axle option for you, but there is not a hub and drum assembly available that uses the inner bearing # LM48548 and outer bearing # LM67048 that your Agricultural hub uses.
The only way to add electric trailer brakes to your trailer would be replacing the axle with one that has a more standard bearing combination.
I recommend going with the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension - Spindle Only - Regular Tires # ASR5200S01 as it has a 5200 rating which is the closest option to your current axle with a 5000lb rating, and since it bolts directly to the frame of your trailer you do not need to worry about measuring your current axle and find an exact match. This kit also replaces your leaf spring suspension with built in progressive rate AEON main springs that do a great job of absorbing road shock and are quite the improvement over leaf springs.
With this option you would be able to use Hub and drum assembly # 8-201-5UC3 and braking assemblies # AKEBRK-7-SA.
To complete the electric trailer brake conversion on your trailer you will also need to add a 7-way connector # H20044 and junction box # 38656. In addition you will need to run # 10-1-1 from the junction box to one wire on each brake magnet using heat shrink butt connectors # DW05745-5 for a weather tight connection, and ground the other brake magnet wire to the frame of your trailer.
With electric trailer brakes now installed on your trailer your tow vehicle will need to have a 7-way connector and trailer brake controller installed. If it does not just let me know the Year/Make/Model and I would be happy to recommend the correct components for you.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
