Determining Correct Race For Inner Bearing L68149 On Boat Trailer

Question:

Your website states—-For the L68149 bearing, the L68111 race is commonly used. It is important to note, however, many boat trailer manufacturers use this bearing with a L68110 race, which has a larger outer diameter of 2.327 inches. Checking for the part number stamped into the side of the race or measuring the outer diameter will help determine which race your axle uses. My question my race doesn’t show a part number plus it’s broke. It does use a L68149 bearing So how or what do I measure if both races use same bearing?Just measure spindle with a caliper tool where the race will sit or measure inside the hub?Its a tapered spindle, about 3000k axle,if you can link me with a kit for 2 hubs complete and a link just for the bearing race etc. kit enough for 2 wheels. This is a pic of axle, the shiny piece on the rear of the spindle looks like a race but I assume this is where the seal goes as it has some paint on it from the Seal #16069 Last,I need 2 tires,Currently I run 5.30-12 but do to an issue I’m now running a 4.80-8 on 1 side 5.30.12 on other until I get new tires.2 600lbs each jet skis will be sitting on trailer. So load C or D is what I need and prefer and won’t mind running ST tires can you link me a set of ST and a set of 12” bias that will be sufficient for my total load of bout 1200lbs,600 per side. Thank you.

Since you know which bearing your trailer uses, the # L68149, and just aren't sure on the correct race you will need to use digital calipers # PTW80157 to precisely measure the inside diameter of your hub where the race will get installed.

If you get a measurement of 2.327" you will need the # L68110, and if it measures 2.361" you will need the # L68111 instead.

When it comes to a replacement hub unfortunately we do not have one compatible with your spindle due to your spindle needing the 16069 seal that has an I.D. of 1.625" and O.D. of 2.332". The only hubs we sell with the bearing combination you need use grease seal # 58846 which has an I.D. of 1.719" and an O.D. of 2.565". You will need to just replace the bearings and races and keep using your current hubs.

Lastly for tires I recommend the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire - 5.30-12 - Load Range C # AM10066 which have a load rating of 1045lbs at 80 PSI which will be plenty for your 1200lb Jet ski trailer.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
