Does the Jack Motor of the Stromberg Carlson have to be Orientated Forward
Question:
I understand if this may be out of your area, or simply be something you are not willing to comment on, but I have a new JET-2500 and I have a clearance issue with the tailgate of my truck and the motor for the jack. Id like to simply spin the outer tube so that the motor will be closer to the trailer. I realize the light will no longer be much use. From what I can tell from the parts diagram it looks like I could simply loosen the three bolts holding the gear box case to the top of the outer tube and then spin the outer tube. Have you ever seen this done? Or can you at least confirm my understanding of the diagram and the attachment of the outer tube? Id rather not have to take it apart to find out. THANKS,

Theres really no reason why you could not install the Stromberg Carlson Electric A-Frame Tongue Jack # JET-2500 in any orientation on your trailer as you would need as long as it does not interfere with anything.
You will want to have the jack itself as a whole orientated. I would not recommend you attempt to rotate the gearbox case as that would not be necessary.
