I recommend using the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness # C56070 to tee off your factory 7-way connector on your bumper of your 2013 Ford F-250. This will give you a 7-way connection inside the bed of your F-250. By using this connection you can easily remove your topper and wiring by disconnecting the connector.

To that you can use a Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector # PK12706 to wire in for both the brake light circuit as well as a power circuit for some in bed lighting. The 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 will allow you to tie into the 7-way circuit and for only the brake lights to activate the power going to the wiring. This will prevent the turn signals from flashing your brake lights.

I recommend using the Buyers Products LED Light Strip # 3375626090. This strip is 60" long which will work on long or short bed trucks and has a warm light color that is less likely to attract bugs. You can attach these via the 3M adhesive backed tape that is already on the light to any part of the topper you like. If possible I like mounting these in a square shape on the roof to ensure you have ample amount of light shining down inside the bed. A Pollak Light-Duty Toggle Switch # PK34513 can control up to 7 of these light strips and will allow you to switch the power on only when you need it. This switch can be wired into the charge line portion of your 7-way connector to power the lights.

Some 14 Gauge Wire # DW07550-1 (sold per foot) and Heat-Shrinkable Tubing # DW05451 will allow you to wire all the connections for both the 3rd brake light and bed lighting for your topper.
