How To Determine The Correct High/Low Adapter For Flat Towing A Jeep By The D-Ring Mounts
Question:
My issue is there is a seven inch difference between my hitch and my d ring loops on my jeep. Wonder if I should go with the 6 inch or 8 inch since roadmaster doesnt sell seven inch model. Its a roadmaster tow bar, but I could go with any manufacturer high/low adapter, correct?

There's about a 3" threshold from level that your tow bar can be and still safely tow your vehicle. The brand of the high/low adapter doesn't matter so you could use a different brand if you wanted to. Since you have a 7" difference the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars # RM-076 you were looking at would place you into the safe zone. If you tow multiple trailers that require a high/low adapter you could use the Gen-Y Ball Mount w/Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-314 which has 5 different receiver slots with a 7-1/2" Rise/Drop to fit your needs.
I've attached our help guide on determining the correct high/low adapter for your needs which can offer some additional information for you as well.
