What is Acceptable Height Difference Between Base Plate and Trailer Hitch Height

Question:

I have a Blue Ox baseplate that I bought from you. for a Sonic LT with a RS interior package, 1.8 engine, auto trans, My sonic baseplate height is 13 1/2 inches from ground to post holes. I am also using the Blue Ox 10,000 lb tow hitch. My RV trailer hitch is 15 1/2 inches from ground. It says in baseplate directions they should be the same. How much of a difference is allowed while towing?

You can have the height difference between the hitch height and base plate height 3 inches higher or lower. Check out the picture I attached to see that. Ideally you are as level as possible, but based on the height difference you have of 2 inches you'd be totally fine.

I attached a help article that covers more on this topic if you're interested.
