Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent Clearance With Fan-Tastic Vent Ultra Breeze Cover

I’ve just installed the fantasticfan 7350 and purchased the 1500WH cover to accompany it. I ran into the same issue as many that the clearance of the vent cover doesn’t allow full opening of the actual fan vent. I have the remote version, therefor I do not have a way to adjust the opening height of the levered cover. I found one QandA response here that states that they’re made to not open all the way, but have been unable to find anything specifically from the manufacturer. Does dometic support this? For warranty? Where did this info come from? Or is this just the workaround that RVers use because of no better option?

I spoke with Dometic and their tech stated that the motor on your Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent 7350 # FV807350 will sense the resistance from the Ultra Breeze Cover # FVU1500WH and will stop to prevent the motor from burning out. So yes, Dometic does support using this cover even though it doesn't allow the roof vent to fully open.
