What Wires Are Used To Install Linxup GPS Tracking Device 300-AT3-S?

All text describing installation of this unit refers to 3 wiresred, white and black, but the photo shows 8. Whats the deal?

You are correct that even though the Linxup GPS Tracking Device w/ 4G Service # 300-AT3-S has 8 wires, only 3 are used for its install.
The red and white wires will connect to either the positive terminal of the battery on your trailer, or to the ignition wire. The black wire will get grounded to the frame of your trailer. The remaining 5 wires are not used for anything per Linxup.
This unit will update the location of your trailer every 10 minutes when it is moving, and includes 1 year of 4G service.
