When do I Know When My Orbital Pads/Bushings Need Replaced on My Fifth-Wheel Hitch?

Question:

What are some signs these bushings/orbital pads need to be replaced? Is there a maximum movement spec. or anything?

I called my contact at Curt, and he confirmed that when you take hitch out of yoke of your fifth-wheel hitch, take a look at the openings on the orbital pad. If you will see wear and tear of the openings that is a tell-tale sign that it needs replacing. As far as the bushings themselves, it is really up to the owner to determine if you want to replace them.

If you need replacement orbital pads and bushings, I would be happy to assist you in getting the correct replacements if you provide the make and model of your fifth-wheel hitch.
