Parts Needed To Install Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty and 7-way Connector In 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe XL
Question:
Hello etrailer, I have 2013 Hyundai Sante Fe XL limited and would like to install the RED24FR brake controller and 7-way connector. I would like to know if the items that I have ed are correct for this installation? RED24FR, RED69FR, ETBC7. Do I need anything else to complete this installation? I already have a four-way flat connection installed. Do you have any other recommendations or a plug-and-play item? Appreciate your feedback. Thanks

I would be happy to help!
The parts you mentioned are exactly what you need to get the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED24FR and a 7-way connector installed on your 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe XL Limited.
Since your Santa Fe has a 4-way connector already installed you will plug it into the # ETBC7 and then you will just need to make a few more connections. The black wire will get run to the positive terminal of your battery with the included 40 amp circuit breaker, the White wire will get grounded to the frame of your vehicle, and the blue wire will get extended to the location you will be installing the controller.
Once that is done you can then install the Redarc # RED24FR using the Universal Harness # RED69FR. This will get installed by making the following connections:
Red wire from controller harness to cold side wire of stop light switch that only has power when the brake pedal is pressed. Using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 will help you find the correct wire.
Black wire from controller harness to positive terminal of vehicle battery with 30 amp circuit breaker included with # ETBC7.
Blue wire from controller harness to blue wire you extended from the 7-way connector.
White wire from controller harness to ground.
Since your Santa Fe does not have a factory trailer brake controller port for a plug in wiring adapter, the above installation method is going to be the only way to install the controller you are wanting.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
