How To Help Keep Steering Wheel Centered On Jayco Precept 31U
Question:
Just bought above coach. Steering is sloppy requiring me to keep moving steering wheel to stay in lane. Only 15000 miles and I think all parts are good but are there some after market additions that will help steering. Any other after market parts do you think that would make this coach more comfortable. I have been Tod sumo springs would would help or front stabiliser bar. What do you recommend

Expert Reply:
The best option to help tighten up the steering and keep from having to make continual adjustments to stay in a straight light would be to add a steering stabilizer which is designed for these exact issues. The Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Brackets part # RM-RBK22-RSSA is a confirmed fit for a Jayco Precept 31U and what I recommend using.
SumoSprings part # SSR-187-40-1 for rear and part # SSF-170-40-2 for the front are great for sway and stability but they don't really do much for the steering.
