Will the Reese Rail Kit # 30074 Fit a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500

Question:

I am confused and need help. I have a 2002 Ram 2500 and a Reese Elite 26.5 hitch. The Reese website states the 30074 is the proper rail kit for a 2002 Ram 1500 but it does not specifically state it works for the 2500. However, the installation guide states that it works for all Ram models. Is this the correct rail kit for my truck? If not, what kit is best? Thank you for your assistance!

We do have a 5th Wheel kit that cab be used on your 2002 Dodge Ram 2500, but unfortunately the Reese Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit # RP30074 will not be a fit. I spoke to my contact with Reese and he confirmed that the # RP30074 will not work in your truck. There is actually not a Reese Elite under-bed rail that will work.

Unfortunately, because of this there isn't a way to use your existing Reese Elite Hitch on your Ram 2500. Your only option is a brand new setup.
