Does The Thule Motion XT Alpine Roof Box Fit A 2021 Toyota Sienna
Question:
Hoping you can help me determine before purchasing that the Thule Motion XT Alpine roof box would fit the rear door/hatch opening when using Yakima Timberline towers and Yakima Jet Stream bars installed onto my raised rails. Thule doesnt seem to have any towers for my new car, but I have the Motion XT Alpine box and like it so wondering if I went with the Yakima towers/bars if I could open the back door all the way or if the box would overhang. When I measure the space from the front clips on the underside of the roof box whatever you call those things you tighten to the back of the box I get about 52.5inch Thanks in advance for your help!

In order for you to have access to your rear hatch while carrying the Thule Motion XT Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Black Glossy, part # TH629506, the distance between the forward most crossbar on your roof rack must be 55" from the line where the roof of your vehicle and the hatch meet. If you install the front crossbar on your vehicle, you can measure this distance from the center of that bar. If it is greater than 55", you can carry the Thule Motion XT and still access the rear of your vehicle.
