Tall Hand Rail for RV To Replace Smaller Folding Handrail

Question:

We have a 2002 Jayco designer. It is a 33fkr with dual slideouts. It is a pull behind. It currently has a standard hand rail mounted but it is to short for my wife to grasp well to get up the stairs. It is 65 inches from the top of the current folding hand grip to ground level. My wife has stability issues with her knees and needs a good hand rail to climb stairs. As you can see from the picture our unit is a three step unit but from the measurements it looks like this unit would work better than other options because it extends further from the trailer and therefore give her a better hand hold for the climb up the stairs. We were looking at a lift but they run $2400 to $2500 and if this will work then a better option. Thanks

The Stromberg Carlson RV Folding Handrail part # AC-544 would be what you'd want to give you a hand rail that extends further down and would be much easier to grab. It would basically be a much larger version of what you have now and would be exactly what you are looking for.
