It is very odd that a dealership could not tell you the capacities. Typically all they need is the VIN and everything about the vehicle is then accessible. However, if they could not tell you, there is one place you can look that should have it listed. If you check the sticker/label on the inside door jamb of the driver door, it should have all the capacities your vehicle can handle listed. I did find somewhere that said it was 7,100 pounds, but there is quite a bit of different information about the max capacity so it should definitely be confirmed.
If you were trying to find the towing capacity so you could replace your hitch, I can recommend the Curt # C15300. This will fit both the long bed and the short bed options and is rated up to 16,000 pounds towing and 2,400 pounds of tongue weight. Though drilling is required for the install, it is a pretty straight forward hitch installation. I included an install we did on a 2001 Ram for you to take a look at as well.
