1800709 step controller, what magnetic switch? I have a step that is working backwards, I put part number 378047 in my 1800709 step controller. Did I need part # 905327000?

You just need the opposite switch setup for your powered steps. Since the # LC378047 is normally closed you'd need the normally open version which is the # LC378054. What's interesting is that the black switches are normally open and the white are normally closed.

The opposite of the part #LC378054 that you referenced is the white switch setup part #LC379400 which will work perfectly for you since the #LC378054 was opposite of what you need. The white switch is normally closed and the black is normally open.
