Trailer Hitch Receiver For Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack On a 2012 Mini Countryman

Good morning, I have a Thule Easyfold XT, I would Love to be able to use with my 2012 Mini Countryman. Will this be a good option? Thank you for your time

I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11333 for your 2012 Mini Countryman. It will be able to support the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack # TH903202, as it has a 200lb tongue weight capacity.
With the M7 Speed MINI Ultimate Utility Hitch Receiver # 327-60-160200 you have to account for the length of hitch mounted accessory to determine its weight capacity. The Thule rack is 35" to the farthest point from the hitch center pin and that deems it unusable by the manufacturer.
The Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT would best be installed at the same time as you have most the same components removed to complete the installation. This will give you a 4-way flat trailer connector which will be necessary if you need to tow a trailer. And will allow you to use some Auxiliary Lights # C53201 in the event your bikes block to much of your Mini's taillights.
